What customers say?

“ The motsunabe I've had so far has always been miso-based, leaving me with a strong impression of being greasy and heavy. However, this place near my accommodations has a soy sauce-based one, which is incredibly refreshing. Adding the dried chili peppers on the side and boiling it further adds a slightly spicy kick, making it even better. Assorted Horse Meat Tartare - I tried it for the first time, and it didn't smell bad, but the texture was more filling than beef. It was delicious with minced ginger. Beef cheek - Similar to braised pork belly. This one had a slight beefy flavor at the end, but it wasn't bad. Mustard would have been even better. Beef liver steak - It was cooked medium rare, but it was crunchy yet tender. I really wanted to pair it with red wine, but I was satisfied! The owners were incredibly friendly and pleasant. They listened attentively to our awkward conversations in Korean, and after the meal, they even happily accommodated my request for a photo shoot and were very accommodating! I'll definitely be back next time I'm in Fukuoka! ”

I really wanted good motsunabe but didn’t want to go to a tourist trap so I found this spot and it was the best meal i’ve ever had in all of my 3 visits to japan ! i went at 9 and reserved thru their instagram but there was plenty of space since it was late, and i went by myself, there is a counter and also a group seating area food: ordered motsunabe for one with porridge after. amount of veggies and meat was perfect for me and the broth was sooooo savory! it was my first time so the owner lady came over and showed me how to cook it and eat it and was so sweet the intestines were soooo soft like butter and filled with flavor and the broth was so hearty! i got porridge after and they took it to the back and mixed with egg, soooo good. i felt healed bro service: the owners were so friendly and despite not speaking much english tried their best! i need to practice my japanese it literally felt like a homestay family! highly recommend gogogogogo! ”

“ We are from Taiwan. The hotel's owner recommended this restaurant so we went to try it. And it’s very delicious! The place also very warm and nice. Although we were not good at Japanese, the waiter was still very gentle and kind. Helping us order menu and making the good Nabe. This was our first meal in Fukuoka, and it’s great and unforgettable. ”

“ When I was on a trip to Fukuoka. I did a lot of research, but a taxi driver's recommendation was what made me decide to come here. The restaurant has a homey atmosphere and a Showa-era feel that I really like. I had a beer at the counter and a variety of dishes including motsunabe, horse sashimi, and mentaiko. Everything was delicious, even the rice at the end! It's a wonderful memory! Thank you! ”

“ I was craving motsunabe, so I wandered all the way from Tenjin to this place. I was very satisfied. The restaurant is spacious and cozy, and it seems to be frequented by locals. It's a friendly place where coworkers stop in for a drink, and families with children come for a meal. The staff (it seems to be family-run) are friendly and helpful, and there's a Korean menu (with QR codes) so ordering was easy. I was so disappointed with the motsunabe around Tenjin and Hakata that I came here on purpose. The motsu was generous, and the soy sauce-based broth was so refreshing that I couldn't help but have a drink. Judging by the wall, it seemed like a popular spot for baseball players and other athletes, so I guess it's famous. I was so full I couldn't finish, but other locals were ordering gomasaba. I took a peek, and it looked delicious too. I'd love to try gomasaba next time! ”

“ The soup was light yet punchy, with firm beef offal. Including the flavor-soaked cabbage, it was simply delicious! We were two people, so we ordered two servings, but it was so good we ended up ordering another! We also had a Fukuoka-style dish, which was also delicious! The restaurant's special mentaiko, salty enough to go with the sake but with the gentle flavor of the dashi broth. The sesame mackerel, with its sweet sesame and slightly sticky texture, was irresistible. Both were highly recommended and highly recommended. It's a little far from the main stations of Hakata and Tenjin, but it's worth the trip! I'd love to go again! Beef Motsunabe: ¥1,500/serving Nanokawa Special Spicy Mentaiko: ¥900 Sesame Mackerel: I forgot to take notes. Thanks! ”

“ I stopped by for a drink with friends near my accommodation, and it was absolutely delicious and wonderful. The staff were all friendly, and there was a separate Korean menu, making ordering easy. I had motsunabe, and the staff recommended the jjamppong noodles, which I ordered after getting some tips on how to eat them. They were so delicious, I'd definitely come back again if I get the chance. I'm so grateful to the friendly staff, and thanks to them, I had a wonderful experience! I'll definitely visit again next time I'm in Japan. ”
